The Guesthouse began its life as the residence of homesteading horseman and pioneer J. Y. Dendy and his young bride Blaxie O'Neal Dendy. They raised their family of nine children in this house which was built over the original "shotgun cabin" that they purchased in the early part of 1900's. The house has undergone a complete rennovation and makeover by owner and hostess Janice Thompson. It has taken over 5 years to complete the work. The Guesthouse is a whole house rental at theFour Crossings of Ioni Creek. The Gueshouse consists of two story, 2300 Sq. Ft. home. It has both a master and vanity bath. The house contains a blend of old and new, high tech and low tech amenities. For your entertainment a media room with a 40 inch flat panel HD LCD television above the fireplace is connected to the internet with Dolby 5.1 surround sound stereo system, DVD, CD and Media Center PC. The master bath has a steam shower as well as a claw foot tub. A hot tub spa is also located beside the house. A fully stocked kitchen with service for 10 is found in the cabinets. Sleeping accomodations are for up to 10 adults or childern. The Guesthouse was designed for gatherings of people and families where all use the facilities with a community attitude. It is not designed for individual privacy of each person and is not designed as a traditional bed and breakfast.
